Edgar Villanueva has been a force in the sector, challenging philanthropy to reckon with the history of wealth accumulation in the US, to work in authentic relationship with grantee partners, and to use its position to heal communities. In the inaugural Family Philanthropy Speaks conversation, Edgar gives insight into his own background, notes the fundamental importance of listening, and challenges philanthropy to consider its role in fighting white supremacy.
