They support organizations through tailored training, political education, and strategic consultation. AJS aims to support community organizing efforts that promote the social welfare of poor and working families. AJS has worked on campaigns for accessible public transit nationwide and expanded funding support for community colleges in Washington State. They have built broad-based coalitions, conducted public education activities, and provided training for community organizers. AJS has also worked with various community-based organizations, providing support for their development. Additionally, AJS collaborates with the Native Organizers Alliance (NOA) to build the organizing capacity of tribal communities and protect sacred places, land, and water rights. NOA engages in non-partisan integrated voter engagement and leadership development programs. They have undertaken a significant campaign to protect sacred sites, reaching about 1.2 million people through a 20,000-mile journey with a totem pole and culminating in an event on the National Mall.
